The breath is the current connecting body and mind, connecting us to our parents and children and connecting our body to the outer world’s body. It is the current of life.

Can anybody meditate?

Of course. Thinking you can’t meditate is like thinking you can’t
1. Breath 2. Concentrate 3.Relax

Meditation is not about getting somewhere else – It is about allowing yourself to be where you already are.

Keep an open mind, which is not attached to anything.
The first key skill is to practise the art of observation, without attaching any meaning.

Notice everything without getting pulled in by the experience – Be like a non-stick pan – let nothing stick to you and cling on to nothing.

See yourself as a sentry standing between the gates of your mind and the gates of your consciousness.

Notice your thought patterns as they arise and disappear into the next thought.

You need a focus for your attention – focus on your breath with your eyes closed (10 minutes every day) We remind ourselves that we are here now.

Thats it follks – watch out for part 3, coming soon

PART 1 of 5

Mindfulness Meditation is simply being aware of the present moment. For far too long our lives are lived in the past or the present.

By closing our eyes and focusing on the present we gain many benefits, which we can bring to every aspect of our lives – and YES including Internet marketing – for example the twin evils of Procrastination and Paralysis by Analysis.

Here goes, my 5 main benefits:

1. Develops FOCUS
2. Develops awareness
3. Brings clarity to our lives
4. Deepens our insights and understanding
5. Develops our capacity to be authentic and true to ourselves

By taking just a few moments to (metaphorically) ‘die in the present’ while still alive, we free ourselves to have time for the present

By realising ‘THIS IS IT’ we let go of the past and wake up in the moment.

Thats it for now – watch out for part 2 and that internet product which will be made available FREE for all Masterclass students, coming soon…..

Hi folks

It is a long while since my last post – but recently a cousin of mine and very good friend (drinking buddy over the past 20 years) was killed in a car accident.

I haven’t felt like doing much recently and my internet business ambitions have went into a bit of a freefall – I just haven’t been able to focus properly and move on with John’s masterclass course.

Instead I just took a complete break from it and now I feel recharged and refocused. The positive spin is that life is way too short, we dont know what is round the corner for us (possibly better of we dont) and it is VITAL that we do what makes us happy and live out our true life’s purpose.

Internet entrepreneurship is my life’s purpose.

I will be back posting shortly with some insights on how I am progressing with – niche selection – product creation etc – Online marketers whom I have met and trust and whom we can learn a lot from – creating an effective swipe file etc.. etc..

I will also be concentrating my focus more on not trying to reinvent the wheel and utilising to good effect what is already out there and works…. Reinforcing the motto of this blog – ‘Following successful entrepreneurs footsteps – My pathway to success’

Will speak soon

Would like to hear from anyone on the course, particularly new students

All the best
Cormac

These 3 elements to Internet Marketing success, which are all intrinsically linked are:

1. Having the correct Mindset – FOCUS

2. Getting Advice You Can Trust – Suitable MENTOR

3. Apply the skills learnt appropriately

WELL – We already have completed the first two!

1. MINDSET – FOCUS

The difference between successful marketers and unsuccessful ones is entirely mental. In any endeavour, the right mindset makes all the difference. This is just as applicable to online marketing as anything else.

Having the right mindset accelerates the learning curve, the more excited we are, the faster and better we learn new techniques and skills, and the sooner we can apply them.

If you have a good mental outlook, you will be more than ready to learn everything you can about your new field. In fact, you’ll be excited to learn and ready to get out there and put your new knowledge to work, knowing that with an attitude like yours, you can’t fail.

Our thinking is entirely in our control. It’s not always easy to change our thought patterns, but it can be done.

A few thoughts on areas concerning obtaining the correct mindset for success.

Awareness. Just knowing where we sabotage our own success is half the battle. The mind is like a search engine; it categorizes and prioritizes the things we’ve told it, is really important.

Reframing negative self-talk. Are you allowing negative self-talk to play like an endless tape in your mind? Are you telling yourself you can’t do this, or don’t deserve to? For example, notice the difference between telling yourself you can’t handle something and asking yourself how you will handle something. Doesn’t the second thought feel more hopeful and produce more creativity?

Visualize success.

Dale Carnegie famously said, “Believe that you will succeed. Believe it firmly, and you will then do what is necessary to bring success about”.

Instead, imagine yourself succeeding, in whatever way you define success. Take a few moments to put those pictures in your head every day before you start working. Sports psychologists encourage athletes to see themselves winning long before the game is played. The same goes for you. See yourself as a winner, believe yourself to be a winner, and you will become a winner.

Make a goals list.

Make a list of goals and check them off as you achieve them. You’ll have proof of your success, and nothing inspires success like more success.

2. Finding a suitable mentor

Well, we have already done this. Check John Thornhill out on IMREPORTCARD.com and feel reassured – enough said.

3. Apply the skills we learn to create and promote quality and honest products

“Vision is not enough, it must be combined with venture. It is not enough to stare up the steps, we must step up the stairs”.

Vaclav Havel

We should have high standards when it comes to the stuff we sell online.

Only sell things that people can use.
Only sell things that are high quality and honest.
People are eager to learn what you know. Knowing more, and knowing the right kinds of things, can improve anyone’s life.

On getting advice we can trust, we need to take that advice and apply it to our own marketing. The only way to do that is through trial and error. We need to experiment, make mistakes, and remember that this is a learning curve and we are in it for the marathon, not the sprint.

Time to reflect on where I am now in John Thornhills MasterClass Program

I am now beginning week 8 on John Thornhills Masterclass program. Although a little behind schedule, I am in this for the marathon not the sprint, and I intend on working at my own learning pace to fully grasp and apply the excellent content which has been delivered in this course from Day 1.

I have just completed Phase I of Johns coaching program – ‘Creating an Online Presence’.
This has consisted of developing my own personal wordpress blog, which really acts as a master website to my own online identity, if you like. I did things like registering my own domain name and hosting, creating my own website email address, clickbank and adsense registration and application, mastering CPANEL and the wordpress admin utility, so as to reconfigure my blog layout for maximum possible effect.

There are certain things I have learnt that I have yet to apply, but I will, and these include adding video, banner ads, and incorporating clickbank as rotator which I have signed up for as well. I have added some custom widgets to the site but this is an area I wish to expand also, to include such things as ‘share’ post features, twitter links etc..

I am now about to enter Phase II of the program, and this is now where the real fun begins – the Niche Selection and Product Creation Phase.

This is the best and most detailed learning program I have been a part of. The community feel associated with this course is excellent with the other Masterclass students and the forum is a great sharing resource, as students from previous years, who are much further down the pathway to success than I am, are all actively contributing to our success.

If you have similar ambitions to succeed online, do yourself a massive favour and click in the optin-box above (on the homepage of this blog), leave your name and email address, and get the superb free report ‘Why You’ll Never Succeed Online’.

You will then receive a special offer to join this course, for only $1 for the first month ( 4 whole weeks of learning). You will then see how great this course is and how foolish you would be not to continue.

All the best with your future endeavours

Stay focused
Cormac

Following on from the theme of the previous post, having decided on the route I now intend to pursue avidly, I am keen that this will lead to my pathway to success.

The header title of this blog, is this post’s title ‘Following the footsteps of successful entrepreneurs’ and I would like to discuss this briefly.

I believe it as a pointless strategy to try and ‘reinvent the wheel’, so I intend to try and follow footsteps which have been clearly left by successful entrepreneurs. Who knows, the footprints I may leave behind in the process, which I will try and clearly detail throughout this blog, as I progress through my chosen mentor, John Thornhill’s Masterclass course, could well help someone else out.

The importance of choosing the right entrepreneur(s) to follow can not be overstated and this leads to the question how can you ensure that you are following the right people.

There is a simple way, a website which reviews internet marketer’s based on feedback from their customers, i.e. those that have bought and tried out their programs – HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to checkout the following site:

http://www.imreportcard.com

Thats all for now, I would love to hear any comments to do with the general theme of my previous few posts – agreements or disagreements – all welcome.

Until the next time

No matter what you strive to achieve

Stay postive and keep focused

THE ROAD NOT TRAVELED

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference

Robert Frost

The above poem made me think about the overall direction my life was going in. “Where is my road (route) that I chose leading me to?” “Am I always happy with the decision I made?”

I have definitely up to now, taken the safe route, a way of making a living or even a lifestyle that is common, safe and accepted, instead of the riskier, less well understood choice.

I am in the process of taking ‘the one less traveled by’ and I hope that in time, it will make all the difference to my life.

This poem is a declaration of the importance of independence and personal freedom – both intrinsic to the life of a successful online entrepreneur.
What do you think? How do you feel? All comments appreciated?

?
